Celebrate Day 179: "Paul Bunyan Day!"

Happy Paul Bunyan Day! Being a Minnesotan, Paul Bunyan is near & dear to my heart...so I painted this boy who is even more near & dear to my heart!! Sam was such a great sport letting me transform him into Paul Bunyan!

I had a lot of fun with this one! The flannel, the curly chest hairs, the textures.....

 

Of course I had to paint a little bit of his thumb to get the desired effect of him holding the axe! The texture on the suspenders was done with a BAM 2032 stencil.

The bushy eyebrows and beard really made it, when combined with the stocking cap!
