Hello everyone! It's been a WHILE since I've posted...been busy since then with Christmas, my son's 2nd birthday, and then the birth of my new little boy, Toby in January! Needless to say I haven't been doing a lot of face painting the last few months either, although am gearing up for spring and summer gigs as we are experiencing an unusually warm March here in Minnesota!
I'm also turning 31 tomorrow! (Tomorrow being in about 50 minutes) Above is a photo that my mom dug up and posted on Facebook tonight of me and my dad (his birthday is the day after mine), 24 years ago at his company picnic. If you look closely, you'll notice that I have a pink flamingo painted on my cheek! I remember having my face painted at those picnics as a little girl, and the tough decision of which design to choose.
Who'd have thought that this many years later I'd have my own face painting business, painting dozens of flamingos on other little girls out having fun with their daddies! So, I am an example that it's worth the few bucks it costs to get your kids' face painted...so splurge on your little ones and get them a face painting at your next event. The artwork may only last until bath time, but you're making great memories that will last a lifetime!
Happy birthday Dad, and thanks for the funny old photo, Mom! ;-)
